AFIRM Showcase Tour Adds Speakers, Exhibitors

Casey Conrad, Dr. Kevin Steele, Phil Trotter New Presenters;
Les Mills, Polar, Lifeline USA, ABC Financial to Exhibit


          SILVER SPRING, MD – November 3, 2011 – AFIRM, the Association of Fitness Industry Retailers & Manufacturers, announced today major additions to its educational and exhibition lineups at the inaugural AFIRM Showcase Tour event February 3-4, 2011 at the Sheraton Gateway Airport Hotel in Atlanta, GA.

Joining an already illustrious “who’s who” of industry veteran presenters will be –

o       Casey Conrad  -- Using the Internet to Build your Business

o       Phil Trotter, Jr. -- Building Wellness Resource Networks in Communities

o       Dr. Kevin Steele -- Healthcare and Designing Successful Medical Referral Programs

“I am thrilled to be able to reach out to the Southeast US market,” said Conrad, who’s spoken over 30 times at IHRSA, Club Industry, Athletic Business and many other industry events and is always among the highest rated speakers.   “I’m also excited to be among so many outstanding presenters.  AFIRM has put together an awesome lineup.”

On the Showcase side, the newest additions are –

o       Polar Electro, the world’s leader in heart rate monitors

o       Les Mills International, the world’s leader in group exercise

o       Lifeline USA, the Madison-Wisconsin based supplier of accessories and unique workout products, and

o       ABC Financial, a leading supplier software and payment processing solutions to the fitness industry

“We’re very happy with our latest participating companies,” said AFIRM Executive Director Chuck Leve.  “We’ve been saying from the outset that a wide variety of products and services is what will make the most compelling event for attendees.”

These companies join 20 others as current AFIRM Showcase Tour exhibitors in Atlanta (see www.afirmfitness.org for a complete list and more Showcase details).  That event, as with all AFIRM events, will encourage “drive-in” attendance from a regional base, targeting thousands of fitness industry owners, operators, developers, and professionals who are not currently attending national shows.

The AFIRM Showcase Tour events in 2011 include late June in the Washington, D.C./Baltimore, corridor and late October in Dallas, TX.  The venues in 2012 include Seattle, WA; Kansas City, MO; Hartford, CT; and Columbus, OH.
